Hurricane Beryl was no match for our RTO Unit 1 walk and bike ride held in Elmvale this July. The storm clouds were chased away leaving a beautiful, sunny morning for all of our avid bikers and walkers. Even though the hurricane left a lake and lots of mosquitos on the north trail, the participants were undaunted as they caught the North Simcoe Rail Trail south from Elmvale. When everyone retuned they were challenged to a trivia quiz about Canada, followed by a delicious lunch catered by Elmvale Presbyterian Church. Thanks to Katy Austin, we were entertained with relaxing guitar and vocal music throughout the lunch. Everyone joined in the spirit by singing familiar Canadian songs to end the event.
Stay tuned to your RTO District 17 Unit 1 emails for more activities and events coming up in the near future!
