This annual event, catering to retired teachers and others who have been part of the educational community, was held in Elmvale on November 13.  It was a meeting of old friends and new, a time to socialize and claim bragging rights for expertise on the ice.

Winners of the morning games would meet in the afternoon to determine the Grand Championship.  The losing teams would compete for the Consolation prize.  The Grand Championship was won by a team composed of George Allen, Anne Arksey, Lorenzo Vanin, and Cathy MacDonald.  The second place team included Murray MacDonald, Sheila Miles, Diane Tompkins and Mike Miles.  The championship game had to be decided by a draw to the rings, after regulation ends, to break the tie. The Consolation Championship was won by the Donna Wice team from the Stroud area. 

 A delicious lunch was provided by a local Elmvale curler, spaghetti smothered in hamburger sauce and topped with parmesan cheese.  Garlic bread was the flavourful side dish. The event organizer, George Allen, surveyed those in attendance for suggestions for any future bonspiel.  All curlers endorsed the present format and requested that a similar event be arranged for next year.  Those wishing to be included in the 2025 bonspiel should let George know. Details will come out by email in the early fall.
